Netherland Dwarf Rabbit
If you do not have much space for a pet, the Netherland Dwarf is a perfect choice for you as they are by nature small babyish looking little creatures that do not require very much room.
If you are browsing in your local pet shop, this is the breed of rabbit you will most likely encouter as their small space requirements make them a popular choice.
Generally Netherland dwarfs are a suitable choice for families. They used to have a reputation early on for being slightly aggressive but this problem was resolved through better breeding and now they make lovely friendly little pets that can handle being held by children. Netherland Dwarfs are also more energetic than larger breeds of rabbits which may be fun for childen who are eager to interact with them. In fact, the more they are handled, the better they seem to adapt to and seek out human attention.
They come in a variety of colours and sizes and are also popular as show rabbits. Disproportioanly large heads and eyes with small little ears on the top of their heads are what distingish them, and only true purebreads will have that adorable babyish appearance.
