Lionheaded Rabbits

The Lionhead Rabbit is small stocky rabbit  It has a dense coat of medium length fur with a mane of long hair circling its head and lalso has long hair on its cheeks and chest. The ears are  8-9cm long. The rabbits come in variety of different colours. An adult  Lionheaded rabbit will weight about 1.7 Kg

Like most rabbits the Lionhead Rabbit is docile and friendly, and very suitable for a family pet.

The Lionhead Rabbit is a  new breed and there are differing thoughts on the origin of the Lionhead Rabbit.  All thoughts revolve round cross breading or mutation of various wool and dwarf breeds of rabbit. What is known is that they originated in the Europe and moved to the USA later.
