Dwarf Rabbits

Dwarf rabbits are unsupringly much smaller than normal rabbits, Dwarf rabbits are a variety of domestic European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). They are also capable of interbreeding withbreeding with european rabbits, so are not recognized as a separate species, but a sub speices.
Most rabbits sold by pet shops in the Uk are not true dwarf rabbits but a mongrel stock which are hardier and healthier than your true dwarf rabbit but are not quite as exotic. They we show some features which a dwarf rabbit would but they will be less pronounced and sometimes they will just be smaller version of standard european rabbit.
The heads and eyes of a purebred dwarf rabbit are disproportionately large in respect to their body, and their ears are small and carried high on the head. They will also weigh between 0.7kg and 1.4kg, and will come in numbers of differbnt colorations and breeds including Siamese, Chinchilla, Himalayan, Red, Blue, and White-tipped Black.
The dwarf lop is an exception to this, it is a cross of the French lop and the dwarf rabbit and is both heavier (3.0-4.0 lb) than a standard dwarf and has longer, dropping ears.
Dwarf rabbits behave in the same way as other rabbits. They are capable of being d housetrained and can be socialized with other household pets, just make sure the other hosuehold pets can be socialised with rabbits.
